Miracles happen in the SILENCE of our lives.

Fasting Sometimes silence can be deafening. Silence torments us. We ask questions like the following: Is God Angry? Did I disappoint Him? God knows Jesus is in the tomb, why doesn't He do something?

In our case...

God knows your career is in a dead end, your finances are struggling, your marriage or relationship is in a mess. Why doesn’t God act?

  • What are you supposed to do until He does?
  • Some people are uncomfortable with silence. What does it mean for you to sit in silence?
  • Some people sleep with the tv on because they need constant noise. Is that you? What is the noise that keeps you occupied?
  • God and Jesus in are seen in activity, yet on this day. The activity ceases. There is silence.
  • The disciples sat in the room in wonder, what are you wondering about?

Exodus 20:8

Remember the sabbath day to keep it holy.

Lamentations 3:26

It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord.

Psalm 119:11

Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

James 5:7-8 NLT

7. Dear brothers and sisters, be patient as you wait for the Lord’s return. Consider the farmers who patiently wait for the rains in the fall and in the spring. They eagerly look for the valuable harvest to ripen. 8. You, too, must be patient. Take courage, for the coming of the Lord is near.
